Towing/Storing Cover

Postby ctallstar » Sun Apr 27, 2014 10:43 am

Does anyone have a recommendation for a cover? I know Regal makes one and I assume it's of good quality, is that correct? Is there another aftermarket cover that might be better? I expecting delivery of a 2013 24 Fasdeck and I want to make sure I protect my baby. :D

I ordered my boat with the factory supplied trailer/storage cover and am extremely happy with it. It has a vent and breaths well. The boat is completely dry after heavy rains. It does not cover the swim platform. If your boat has the power tower it will cover it nicely. Here it is still waiting for me from last fall.

Thanks for the reply with the picture. Are you able to travel with that cover on?

The PO had this custom cover put on. It uses snaps about every 18" and a draw string. The cover covers the ESP and is great for traveling.

Yes, the cover has a strap that runs the perimeter just under the rub rail. The strap ends are back at the stern inside a zipper pouch that houses two ratchets that are used for tightening. I get some minimal rubbing in areas where the strap runs on the side of the hull. Only amplified by my black hull. They are easily buffed out with some polish. Overall I primary use the cover when the boat sits on the driveway and for long trips. Otherwise I run topless.

Try a local canvas/ awning shop to make you a custom cover.
