FL - Biscayne Bay - Day Ride

I decided to open this thread to share and learn from others of places and activities in the Florida Biscayne Bay. I will post as reply, visits to restaurants accessible by boat and other nice areas inside the Biscayne Bay. Feel free to post your experiences as well.

Duffy's Sports Grill

Easy to dock the boat, variety of sports bar food.

Billy's Stone Crab

Easy to dock, during the weekend you should arrive before 1:30PM as boat docking is first come first served.

All You can eat Stone Crab is a good call (season is from Oct 15 to May 16).

Haulover Park

Perfect for Picnic, there is also food available that is delivered to the boat.
No docking, this is an anchor place.

When the tide is low a bank of sand shows up. Last time I went there, last weekend, I counted 130+ boats.

Shuckers Bar & Grill

Docking is fine, but docking space is very limited. Food isn't creative, I rather go to Duffy's

Sea Grill

Serves Greek food. Very nice, this is the place to go when trying to make wife happy.

Docking is easy and there is plenty of space. Shares the docking area with Duffy's.

I like to drop anchor between Virginia Key and Fisher island , on the north side of key biscaine or in the always overcrowded sandbar south of Key Biscaine.
Have you tried Elliot Key? Its nice but an hour or so from Biscaine Bay.

Since im storing my boat in Ft Lauderdale until my Marina is finished in Brickell i m now going to Oleta park right in front of Haulover sand bar or north from Duffy at North Lake & South Lake in Hollywood. ( nice access by boat restaurants in that area).

I cant skip mentioning the most famous restaurants in the Miami River, Garcia's and Salt & Pepper (pricey and high end to make wives happy... )

Bayside Marketplace

I am finding this Marketplace a great place to bring visitors who come from outside Florida. It has shops and good places to eat.

Docking is easy at Miami Marina, they charge a nominal fee for transient boaters.

Lido

This is a nice place with good views and good afternoon food.

There is however a showstopper, they charge $50.00 docking fee.

BAHOR WOOD OVEN & GRILL RESTAURANT

This is a Russian restaurant that is in the same docking area of the Duffy's.

We had some appetizers and a grilled branzino that was pretty good. The waiter was very nice despite limited English.

There is a menu with pictures, this helped.

CASA BLANCA

This place is located in the Miami river, they are nearby the Garcia's restaurant.

It is simple to dock the boat and the waiters even assist the process. Food is good and interesting, nice place to make wife happy.

GG's Bar and Grill @ 606 N Ocean Dr, Hollywood

Nice bar and restaurante. The outdoor and indoor spaces are both great. The staff and the manager are very nice. A good place to bring the Admiral...

It is easy to dock and there is space for several boats.

I like this view... ;-)

The spicy calamari is great

... and to wrap up, a Mojito "to go"

It's a good restaurant. That area is good for boats, it's just South of John u Lloyd state park and the Port Everglades inlet if I remember right. I worked in and around Fort Lauderdale for 22 years. There a lot of boat friendly restaurants in that area.
