Engine bay panel removal?

Postby KnewRegal » Wed May 02, 2018 8:13 pm

How the heck do I get the board out to work on the engine?

Thanks for the response.

I've removed the thumb screws on the bottom and the two screws on the top holding it but there is something mounted on the outside of the panel (think its some sort of scrubber) and there is the battery on/off switch mounted to the other side. Watta PITA to have to remove that to just work on something down there.

I found a compromise that does not require the removal of the panel.

I will post pics in the next couple of days but what I did was disconnect the hoses going into the scrubber thing I mentioned earlier (I'll post its actual name later too) then I rotated the panel with respect to the battery switch end and just layed it on top of the engine. That cleared up the entire side of the engine bay to work on it. I can just about lay in there now.

You might want to add in your post or even signature line what year and model you have with what engine package? It helps out for questions like this. ;)
Thanks, Chris
