Who made the engine? I think that is the answer if you might be able to find them cheaper, if its a westerbeke engine, you might be in a world of hurt... :(
Thanks, Chris

Agree, big bucks! Just for fun I checked into the cost of a new single barrel carb for our Westerbeke 7 kW set (a Mitsubishi 3 cylinder counter balanced automotive derivative, running at 1800 RPM ) , $1100 plus freight and handling!! Glad I can still rebuild a carb if ever needing to do it! On the positive side this little 3 cylinder fully internal counterbalanced engine runs like a sewing machine, just hope I never have to rebuild anything on it, especially the engine:)
Have to say I would like to hear what the OP would spend on a engine rebuild, if it is even economically feasible?

As a after thought the OP indicating he needs rods, piston rings, rod bearings etc. I thinks he would also need pistons, new or re ground crank, main bearings, new or bored out cylinder liners or block, etc., etc. Doesnt sound like this will be either cheep or easy rebuild? With the items he mentioned he needs I think the engine end of the gen set is toast. Sounds like it was either overheated or ran out of lube oil?
