Our New 2300 RX Surf

Postby Tree80 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 9:39 am

We picked up our new 2300RX Surf about a month ago and traded in our 2005 Chaparral and we have been missing a few nice days to have it out on the water since they had to come back and get it to address some warranty issues. We are really looking forward to our new water ride, with the surf package! All I need to do now is find a way to fly the Red White and Blue!! I cannot find a good way to mount the flag, any ideas?

While I don't envy the task of keeping that hull clean, it is a sharp boat! Which powerplant does this have?

I hear you on the flag, we're trying to figure out the same thing. Not many options for a non-permanent flag mount, but perhaps something that mounts to the Power Tower or some type of stern mount?

Thanks we love the color, however I agree it will be a task to keep it clean. I have a lot of micro fiber towels, slick mist and two boys to help out :?
As for the power plant is has the 300Hp Gen 5. It has plenty of power and puts out a great wake but we are still waiting to surf behind it.
I'm struggling on the flag mount, I'm a veteran so I have to have to fly the RWB or we just aren't complete. If I find a good way I'll let you know. Happy boating!

The blue and black is a nice color combo, we have it on our esx mode and a wipe down after ever outing keeps the black nice

For the flap mount you can just get a flush mount rod holder and use a small fitted poll. Or use zip ties to mount it on the Bimini poll or a grab handle on the tower

Pretty boat :)
Interested to see how you dial in the wake settings and where you decide to put flags. I have 4 that I'm no longer sure where to place.

Thanks for the post. As for the Flag mounting locations, I'm puzzled on where to put one. I'm not a fan of the options that I see available. I really wish someone in the factory would have incorporated something into the power tower for a flag mount. Anyhow still love the boat though, just waiting for better Kansas weather so we can get some use on it.

So our new boat finally came in and it is so much better than the first. This one has an updated window frame that is much sturdier than the first, has the New Quick Drain Winterize System, Quick Launch, and a much more improved Throttle and Shifter Handle that is way more responsive than the first, and Yes no Gel Coat issues!! We did have to go with a different color (gunmetal Ice) but I feel that the choice was a good one. Once it is in the water the sparkle in the gel coat really pops and makes the boat look very nice. I will get some on the water pics as soon as I get more time at the lake, which will be coming hopefully this weekend. The dealership really stepped up on this deal and took care of us.

A few better pics from the weekend. I was able to get the Surf System dialed in and it worked great. Had a great Saturday on the water! Able to get the Kiddos on the tube as well. Happy Boating!
