Putting up my camper top

Postby wwec46 » Mon Apr 14, 2014 12:09 pm

Anyone know how to erect the canvas on a 1998 Regal Commodore 262? I have most of it figured out, but the vinyl windows do not want to stretch down far enough to snap and stay. Do I need to reconfigure the front bow?
Thanks in advance.

The eternal question... what to do when the vinyl shrinks.
If you are trying to install the vinyl in a colder climate, the vinyl will not like to be stretched too much. Some boaters up here in the north east have used
a hair dryer to warm up their windows so the they a more pliable. (please use caution if attempting this method) or wait till the sun warms it up.

I've used this tool for a few seasons now and love it. It help stretched your windows/canvas without straining your fingers and hands.

I remember struggling to get the canvas up. I then figured out how do it. I only start my zippers a couple of inches then snap the canvas to the boat. Once it's all snapped in to place; just finish zippering.
