I am new to this... do not assume I know anything about props...

My engine manual says that with the props I should get to 4,000rpm when at full throttle. It says that I the engine exceeds it or does not reach it, I should investigate changing the props. All I am sharing here is what I recall reading from Volvo's manual...

You need to find what your operating rpm range is for your motor and outdrive at WOT. I would then see if your current prop is in that range or low or high. Also get the current info from your prop like pitch , diameter, etc. There are calculators where you can put that info in to help convert from your current sized 3 blade to 4 blade. You also will likly lose some on the top end but get a better hole shot. Ideally you can work with a company or local marina to let you try different props. The important thing is to make sure your are in the correct WOT range with the new prop.

When I changed form 3 to 4 on my bow rider it definitely gave me a better hold shot and low end performance. I keep my 3 blade around as a spare but have not had to swap back.
