Doe anybody have any experience with modifying a universal trailer to fit a Fastrac hull? I am looking a purchasing a universal one and then modifying it.

My Load-rite 5-starr (a generic) was setup by the dealer and seems to work well. It's got separate bunks front and rear, and it looks like they're set at different heights to accommodate the step. That said, occasionally the step will hang on the rear bunks when launching, but that only happens when I'm not quite far enough in at the ramp.

I could dig up a picture if that would be helpful.

My '03 1800LSR was on a Shoreland'r roller trailer and never had any problems fetching up.

Thanks for the information.

Any pictures would be great. This way I can get an idea of what needs to be done.

OK... Not a great pic, but the boat's still in the water at this time so I can't get any better ones.

You can see two sets of bunks, one under the front portion and one in the rear of the boat.

You can replace the problem bunks with longer bunks that extend past the FasTrac hull indent. This will prevent the FasTrac hull from getting hung on the rear bunks when launching.

Add Teflon/plastic strips on top of the carpeted bunks to further assist with the ease of launching and loading the boat. Works great with the 2100.

I have a custom made trailer with mine and this is how the stepped hull was handled with the bunks.
