Leisure cat prop cavition

Postby eshoremike » Tue Aug 29, 2017 7:30 pm

I have a 94 leisure cat with a 225 PRO XS with a 25" shaft and a REV 4 mercury prop. it seems to loose its bite when there is too much weight on the front of the boat or crossing another boats wake. I noticed the prop shaft is at the same depth as the bottom of the hull. I have a 6" jack plate on it and it is as low as it can go. I am thinking of putting a 5" extension shaft on the lower unit. if that puts it too deep I raise the motor up with the jack plate. any thoughts?

I have the same issue. Not seeing any replies. I'm not sure if there are any Leisure Cat owners around anymore. I wold like to get a group of current owners going. I have some information on these boats to share, but I am in need of information I cant seem to find. Owners Manual, Capacity Plate rating, etc. Any Leisure Cat owners out there?
