Trim Tabs on Destiny 200

Postby big_nk » Sun Sep 04, 2011 4:10 pm

I have a 2000 Destiny 200. I love the boat, but it has one major flaw, the hull pounds like crazy in any moderate chop. I think it is due to the bow being wide and not enough weight in the bow. The boat I have on occasion tried having four people sit in the bow area and I have noticed that boat rides very well.

So here is the question.

Has anyone ever installed trim tabs on a Destiny 200? Did that make a big difference?

I am even thinking of placing 300, or so, pounds of sand in the storage lockers under the bow seats.

Love the boat, hate the pounding.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Did either of you every get a reply or install the tabs? I am considering the same thing on a Destiny 200.

On my 2000 Destiny 200 I ended up installing Zipwake Interceptors trim tabs www.zipwake.com
Made a very big difference. Please note that this does not completely solve the pounding, but made a huge difference. Love fully automated nature of the controller.
