Recently the forum has been getting attacked by Chinese SPAMMER groups. I catch most of them when they sign up but some slip through and their posts show up for a few hours. Some of the posts have not been what I would call acceptable for family oriented websites.
In order to help curb this issue I have instituted a new policy, effective immediately, in that the first few posts from any user with less than X posts will go into the moderator queue for approval before they appear online. The "X" is a very low number but I don't want to publicize it and help the SPAMMERS. This change can also effect long time members that post for the first time. Posting will generate the following message; "This message has been submitted successfully, but it will need to be approved by a moderator before it is publicly viewable. You will be notified when your post has been approved."
I apologize in advance for delaying people's posts but I don't want this place to get out of control with SPAM. I welcome ALL feedback on this change. If you feel this is wrong then please say so. I'm also open to any ideas others may have.
Thanks for your understanding.
