28 Express Underwater Lights Wiring

If you could ask Regal a question directly then what would it be? (While Regal does read our site from time to time please do not expect them to answer your question here!)

28 Express Underwater Lights Wiring

Postby heavywork » Wed Aug 15, 2018 11:22 am

I have a 2017 28 Express without underwater lights from Regal. The boat does have a switch at the helm for underwater lights. I'm trying to find out if the boat is pre-wired for the underwater lights and if so, where would I find the wire terminations so aftermarket lights could be connected?

For what it's worth, its really easy to get to the back of the dash. The torx screws holding the dash on are easy to get to and the dash comes right off so you can see what's going on back there.

Thanks for the reply. I have had the dash off and can see that there are wires connected to the switch. I just don't know where they end up.

Don’t know if you ever found out, but my 2016 is wired and you can find the plugs coming out of the harness on the transom

My 28 had the same thing - wires coming out of the harness in the transom, prewired to the switch. I easily added lights by connecting to those.
