Fire extinguishers 28 Express

Postby EpicWakeJump » Mon Apr 24, 2017 11:05 am

I was a little dissapointed on how there is no extinguisher in the cabin and I'd like to have an easily accessible extinguisher in the cockpit. So, here's what I did.

This is exactly what I am looking to do. What I couldn't figure out is though more so for the cockpit, but how did you get behind them to mount them? I couldn't see a way t remove the panel. Thanks for the help!

I used screws and a sealant. As these areas shouldn't be seeing water unless there is a problem, I thought it would be OK.

Going on Regal forum today after some time , bit late response
On my 2004 2860 has Sea FIre built in extinguisher .
Shop was doing engine work and when I went into engine room noticed fire extinguisher canister
was hanging held by the 3 wires . RE connecting , IT WAS EMPTY . Good thing I never depended or had need too use
Tag was from boat build out in 2004 . Way outdated. I never noticed. Never checked
I have been boarded many times coast guard, for inspection. They wanted too make sure I had a seal on dirty water holding, . Out dated extinguisher is directly over sea cock
especially Repair guys did not cause canister too empty ( no residue ) possibly was empty for I always run with extra extinguishers.
Calling Sea FIre my model 200a is not used anymore, not refillable, but company will gladly
sell me at a reduced rate a new updated extinguisher for 6 hundred ?
I have two engines but the extinguisher faced starboard engine and nothing at port engine ?
Will get a bunch of extinguishers putting more on deck & cabin
