2465 Commodore Bow Rail?

Postby Jamesbus » Wed Nov 15, 2017 1:52 pm

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents -

I come looking for assistance. My 2004 2465 was damaged in a storm a few weeks ago up here in New England (im in CT), and the bow rail was ripped off the boat and completely mangled. Unfortunately the Regal dealer near me informed me that the company that manufactured these bow rails for them back in the early 2000's is no longer in business. I have a few options on the custom-remake side, but that's the extremely expensive route. Does anyone know of any salvage 2465's out there that have an intact bow rail?

I know I'm searching for a needle in a haystack here...but worth a shot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

What does your insurance pay for? I realize you likely have a deductible, but that would be the same-new, custom, or used.

Thank you for the reply. I am definitely going through insurance, but I'm (we're) at a bit of a stand still because we haven't found out pricing on a new bow rail. Admittedly I've started to take a bit of a more proactive role in tracking down the bow rail since the boat has been with the repair facility for close to 3 weeks with no estimate to give to the insurer. Ideal scenario would be finding a used one somewhere...

Most likely you would have to have a yard custom make new ones from stainless railing. While not difficult for someone that has experience, it should be pretty doable for a yard. A metal fab shop would be a second choice who could fab something up pretty quick. Heck you could even have some custom led lights installed in them too, to make them look cool at night.. ;)
Thanks, Chris
