What happpened to all the water?

Amazing what a super low tide and strong north winds can do to the river level! Doesn't happen to often but more than I like to see!

Normal low tide is about a 6" below the horizontal board on the seawall.

Our slip. Notice the finger sitting on the bottom.

Our neighbors slip. He has deeper draft and likes to come and go at low tide.

Ever see a deadhead in a slip?

How about a tire and rim down at your stern?

Looking back at the main dock. It's sitting in the mud.

So glad this sort of thing doesn't happen all the time!

Yup! Actually I normally winter at a different marina which has much deeper water. It is also in a cove off the river so it is more protected from winter storms. Same marina that Jason and the crew of Never Never Land visited on their trek northward.

Just a few hours. The Hudson is tidal like the ocean. Those pictures are very abnormal. Only the 3rd time I've ever seen it get that low. Fortunately all the times that I have seen it occurred in the off season.
