Thank-you all for helping to make the Regal Owners Forum the growing success that it has become!

Between my health issues and the depressed economy it has become necessary to reach out and ask for a little support to help keep the forum going. Several days ago I added a donate button to the bottom of the website. It is linked to Paypal and you do not need a Paypal account to donate. Any amount is appreciated and it is NOT a requirement to use the site.

To those that have already donated, thank-you again and to those that may, thank-you in advance!

Respectfully
John

Rommer,

For several years you have generously provided a place for current and previous Regal owners to become friends. You have managed to keep this site up and running through good times and bad, even during times of illness, all this while never accepting the slightest contribution.
Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to show our appreciation.

I would be remised if I did not point out your constant patrolling for safety concerns. Just think, Hank may have gone on soldering forever if you would not have stopped him.

Thanks for everything and I sincerely pray for the return of your health.

I have to just say WOW!. Thank-you all for the thoughts and donations.

I feel I may have misled some of you a bit, my health has been improving a lot over the last few months. I'll never be 100% but I'm back to being functional. The tremendous downtime I've suffered over the past few years as a result of my health issues has impacted my business more than just the economic downturn would dictate. On a positive note my weight loss goal of 100 pounds is not too far away!

We have all been pretty good about not using this site for personal economic gain and I really wish to keep it that way. I've set up a "Group Buy" forum which will generously be moderated by Zane so that we do not allow commercialism to over run the site. If we all can save some money on things we are purchasing anyway than I believe that is a good thing. That said I'm going to break my own rule since it is my business that actually provides the servers/software/resources for the forum. If anyone is looking for good, decent webhosting, computer services or repair with my specialty being Linux based computing then feel free to PM me with your needs. (I also do Windows and have over 30 years of computer background with almost 20 years of Unix based experience. Anyone remember what a minicomputer was? ;) ) I'm also available to do remote or on premise contract work as well.

Anyway, thanks again for the tremendous support and good wishes!

Just an FYI - I'm trying to make sure that anyone who donates gets their forum rank changed to "Regal Owners Supporter" but sometimes the email address used for paypal does not match the email address used to register for the forum. I've emailed several people asking for the forum username and not gotten a response back from some. Soooooo, if you have made a donation and your profile does not yet say "Regal Owners Supporter" then please PM me so I can correct it.

Going forward, when making a donation please but your ROF username in the comments box.

Thanks!

The money I have saved, the knowledge gained and the fraternal bantering endured is well worth a supportive donation . . .

This is one of the few sites I just HAVE to visit several times a day. Usually in a really boring meeting on the Iphone . . .

Done. You've been carrying this on your own for too long. Long overdue and I'm sure I join the others in saying that we're pleased to have a forum to help the Forum!

In another "offbrand" forum that I frequent, they have a permanently available, optional donation stucture. I can provide more details if you'd like.

Cheers,

Thank-you all again!

Paul, please send/post whatever info you feel would be helpful. I have received lots of excellent suggestions via email and PM's and as soon as I get a few spare moments I plan on sifting through them all and see what might make sense here. I def. plan on posting a collection of the ideas to get overall feedback. Lets be fair, without all of you this place would be pretty empty so I'd like to try and reach somewhat of a consensus.
