Is Prestige Trailers out of business?

Postby Kel » Fri Oct 02, 2009 12:37 pm

I have custom prestige trailer for my 2665 and noticed the rubber sidewalls on some tires are cracked - I thought well maybe I should get a spare tire and change out the tires before taking my boat out of the water for the winter.

Anyway - thought I'd call prestige and see about getting a spare wheel/tire - well phone is disconnected and www.prestigetrailers.com website needs a password to get to the site..

Anyone know?

I think that they did go under. Its been "out of order" for quite some time now. Too bad to see them go as they had a good trailer.
Thanks, Chris

It's been that way since the beginning of the summer when I tried to contact them. I believe they are no longer operating.

Thanks for the info - too bad they seem to make a nice trailer - not sure where I will go to get a new wheel/tire combo...probably some aftermarket but this trailer has the wheel bearings immersed in oil setup.

Ed,

One thing good about most trailer manufactures are that they use off the shelf parts like the boat builders. All the parts with the exception of the frame should be able to be acquired from other sources.

Tires are going to be Carlisle or Goodyear most likely. The rims you should be able to purchase online. What do they look like? Also for a spare depending on how you will mount / store it can be a steel type rim, as its best to keep a cover on it anyway, so it won't show.

The bearings are they the Turbo Lube system from Tie Down Engineering, again a picture and a bit of searching might help.
Thanks, Chris

I'm going to bring back a very old thread since I think this may be good information to have in one place. I have a 2008 Prestige trailer with white LED backup lights on the side. One of the lights have quit working, but I have not be able to locate a replacement or determine the original manufacture. The light goes through a hole roughly 1 1/4" round with three LEDs. The fixture is low profile on the outside of the trailer frame with 1 1/2" threaded barrel that passes through a hole in the frame that is secured with a mounting nut. The only numbers or name I have found on the fixture is a sticker with T070405A. So far, I have not been able to locate a replacement. Does anyone have any idea the manufacture or source for a replacement?

Thank you very much.

I believe I have found the original LED of the backup light on the Prestige trailer if anyone should be in need. The LED is a Starr Light - Recess Mount 012 Series. As of this post, the LED can be found on Amazon.
