unhooked hose

Postby Herrema4 » Sun May 20, 2018 10:22 am

2006-3560 there is a small hose coming of the waste holding tank that is disconnected and capped on the tank. it is next to the vent hose. Where does the other end of this hose go?

You only need one vent hose, and one "bigger" 2" or so pump out hose. This fitting may be a second vent nipple for a different installation. Anything wrong with your vac u flush toilet system? If not, dont worry about it.

That hose should be an input to the tank from something. I'll try to remember to look at my '05 3560 to see which hose this is on my boat.

My boat has all grey and black water going to the holding tank as we are on a lake. So perhaps your boat was at one time, and this is your shower sump connection. Perhaps it was at one time connected to your holding tank, and now it goes to the port side through hull fitting? On my boat, the shower sump under the galley steps goes to my holding tank.

I would think that if the OP was on a lake requiring a grey water holding tank in addition to the waste (black water) tank that that capped tank nipple would have been connected by Regal or the dealer when the boat was originally delivered to who knows where?

this hose was connected at one time and then disconnected and capped on the tank. We believe the boat has been on Lake Michigan(Grand Haven) it's whole life. The grey water goes overboard here. It is possible if that is what it is it came connected from the factory and was disconnected because it wasn't necessary. I will do some checking this weekend when we get to the boat. Thanks for your help.

Agree, if you dont need a grey water holding system on the lake you are on now it was disconnected and the hose was connected to a "sump pump" to pump and discharge overboard , therefore, The cap on the second tank nipple.
