Buying a ‘16 32 Express - would welcome others’ experiences

Postby mapandjlp » Sun Dec 10, 2017 10:24 am

Hi, All. New to the forum and soon to be new to the Regal boat owner community. We’re in the process of purchasing a beautiful 2016 32 Express and are excited to learn about your experience with Regal boats. Specifically, this model.

First question - How does the cockpit upholstery hold up? It’s an interesting material that seems much more prone to stains and intrusion than traditional vinyl. Interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks a lot!!

From experience, get a full value and mechanical survey before signing the purchase order! Is the vessel still under factory warranty and if so is it transferable to a second owner (probably not). The full survey on our boat was about $750, worth every penny of the cost!
Good luck and welcome to the ROF!

Welcome.

I have 2015 32 Express will 3 seasons in the books.
I would say the upholstery is holding up very well. I would say 98% like new.
However I do have a few small areas on the rear aft bench seat where there is some marks that I can’t seem to get clean.

Welcome and congrats! I think you will come to really like the seating material. It is more resilient to staining and easier to clean in my opinion. We also get lots of compliments on it. There are a few posts on here you may want to search for that cover Q/A on the 32 Express, plus Kikaboo has posted some upgrade details that are awesome enough I had to do some of them myself! This boat is a nice luxury yacht, and as an express, you still get that open air boating feel. Also has a great layout for multiple people, and is excellent for overnighting with that big king bed below. Great rough water ride and a comfy cruiser over distance. I have my quibbles with the boat, and I've had way too many mechanical problems, but overall it's a great boat and value.

What options and engine package do you have?

Thanks for the feedback!

We have the Volvo 300 engines with DP drives. Pretty much all options except for joystick control and cockpit grill.
