Even thought this older vessel should be reasonably priced (what does the owner want for it?) I highly recommend you get a full survey before buying it! There are too many items on a vessel this old that can be worn out/defective/non serviceable/ etc. That would cost a lot of money to repair/replace ! Like engines, AC system, out drives (if that is what you have) , batteries/house charger, vacu flush toilet, fresh water pump, refrigerator, etc. Well worth the $500/$600 to get a licensed surveyor to check both function and value before purchasing!

That's a pretty good list of things to check Gofast24. I'd be curious about the overall condition of that boat.

That was my 1st Regal years ago and was always a great boat. A lot of room for a 27 ft boat. I had twin 305 (230 hp each) mercruisers with Alpha drives... great running boat. One of my observations about the boat... I to keeps an eye on all fasteners in the cabin they tend to loosen up with years of pounding. I made many of trips to the Chesapeake bay from Bordentown NJ hundreds of miles. Never had major problems. Good luck if you buy it.

Yes, even though only $5k for the boat the possibility of thousands of $ to repair/replace defective/non serviceable systems can double or triple the cost of the vessel if the OP wants a fully functional vessel!
