It's official, my new 2018 33 Express finally arrived! I gained a foot from when I ordered the 32 express

Very excited to be joining the Regal family.

Congratulations! That's so funny they now call it 33 Express.
It's actually 34 LOA. Maybe I should swap my 2 for a 3 to stay current.

Did our boats just increase in value???

Congratulations! Looks gorgeous. Same color package as my boat. When does she splash? Do you have a name?

Thanks!

Rob - I would put the 3 on there for sure

Bruce - I was thinking the same thing. I told the dealer I just got an extra foot of resale lol

The boat will splash next week. Can't wait. Big learning curve for me.

The name is The Good Life

The family is very excited.

Love it!!! So clean and new looking! Don't stress about the learning curve... you will get the hang of it pretty quick.
I was in the same boat as you, meaning went from a single engine 22 foot bow rider to the 32. With the joystick and DTS ( or whatever Volvo calls it) it's a dream to drive.

Rob - You should keep it as a 32, you'll get charged for an extra foot for dockage if you change it to a 33. :D

95% of the time I give them then LOA of 34 which it actually is. That's because of the penalties for reporting something less than the actual LOA. Although I've never seen anyone actually come out and measure.

I wrestled with the dimensions of the boat when I was doing my USCG documentation. They don't include swim platforms for that, so I just did the waterline length, which I think is just under 32'.

No matter the length, you'll love the boat!

Are there any changes to the cabin?

Congrats! Very nice. I just got an email regarding three new models will soon be announced. I'm guessing the 33 Express is one of those.

hmmm.. that would be lame in my opinion. The 2018 33 Express is really the same as the 32 Express with minor cosmetic and electronic changes. Just because Regal puts a 33 on it, does not make in a new model in my opinion. The email says ALL-NEW MODELS so I guess we will see. I assumed it would be 3 new boats.

We are off topic but i guess the new cruiser model mentioned in the email will be like those newer larger day boats (bow riders type) with cabin like the Sea Ray SLX or Formula CRoss over.

Going back to the original topic; its weird that Regal decided to change the nomenclature for just one ft difference. (I initially thought it was a typo from the OP).
Congrats on the new rig!!

Congrats on the new order. Some details please. Also where do you boat? If you are on facebook, you may want to join our Regal - Club 32 group.

Congrats on your new boat!

I really like the 33 express. It has one of the best layouts in the class. I have lots of suggestions and happy to help answer any questions you might have on the boat, options and advice on the ordering process.

Feel free to PM me if you like.

Beautiful boat! Been a long time since purchasing anything brand new :)
Just a note on the slip fees at our marina = Doesn't matter how long (LOA) your vessel is you pay for a slip 30'/35'/40'/ 45' etc. If you have a boat longer than the slip you lease the bow just sticks out and gets sun, rain, dirt etc. on the portion that sticks out beyond the metal roof. We have a 40' slip and stick out about 3'. Not much of a problem as most of the slips have rain gutters on the outside edge of the roof, keeps all the heavy rain from pouring onto the fwd bow area sticking out. Also true, for a haul out the marina determines your boat length by the model number and charges (in our case, $12/ft.)
Sure hope you have a long boating season and no gremlins showing up on a brand new boat!
