Ocean City, MD

Considering making Ocean City a destination for our summer vacation. I understand there is a decent marina within walking distance of the marina. I've heard differing opinions on the boardwalk. Small vs large, little to do vs lots.

Whats the real scoop? Descent restaurants? We would be coming via Cape May NJ. Which way is best, outside or via the Cape May canal?

Feedback desperately needed. I normally have my summer reservations by now!

Rommer, Sorry but we have not made it that far yet. Friends of ours do the trip once a year and it is a good 8 hour cruise for them if they can time the tides right getting up the the C&D Canal and down through the Delaware Bay. Assuming the Delaware Bay does not get too snotty. There are too many places we still have to explore right here in our back yard. I will check with them to see where they usually stay and what they recommend.

Rommer,
I had a fairly large post which was lost to timeout. If you are still considering this trip, feel free to call me on my cell - 856-981-6464. I can provide some info on Intercostal - OC NJ - Wildwood NJ.

I also have experience in OC MD - not by boat, but inthe town.

Thanks for the offer John but we decided to go back to Block Island and Martha's Vineyard this year.

Maybe next year!
